Competence to Manage Finances/ Representative Payeeship - Faculty are currently studying financial decisional capacity among people with psychiatric disabilities and are developing an intervention for family representative payees to reduce financial coercion, interpersonal conflict, and family violence.

Post-deployment Adjustment - Faculty are investigating factors associated with better outcomes for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, seeking to construct an empirically-based tool to screen for veterans at elevated risk of adjustment problems upon return home from combat.

Competency to Make Medical Decisions - Faculty are examining treatment decision-making capacity over time to ascertain what variables are associated with fluctuating or stable competence to make medical and psychiatric decisions.
