UNC Forensic Psychiatry Program and Clinic
The Forensic Psychiatry Program and Clinic at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Medicine provides a centralized resource for legal and mental health professionals to obtain and access high-quality civil and criminal forensic assessments, expert testimony, forensic empirical research, and training/education in psychiatry and law.
We aim to:

Provide prompt, reliable, and credible forensic services by knowledgeable and highly-trained clinical staff.

Educate attorneys and other legal professionals about how our expertise in forensic psychiatry and forensic psychology can be of assistance to them.

Ground forensic evaluations in the latest scientific knowledge by conducting empirical research at the interface of psychiatry and law.

Train psychiatrists and psychologists in conducting evidence-based assessments for the legal system.
