Summary
Statement:
Dr. Hiemenz is a pediatric neuropsychologist.
Her research and clinical interests
include assessment and interventions
for very young children with neurodevelopmental
disorders and for children with traumatic
brain injuries. At the UNC Center
for Development and Learning, she
provides clinical training and coverage
for the Early Childhood and Preschool
Interdisciplinary Evaluation Clinics,
and directs the Child and Adolescent
Neuropsychology clinic. Additionally,
she provides mental health consultation
services to the Chapel Hill/Carrboro
Pre-K/Head Start Program, and supervises
several psychology practicum students,
interns, and postdoctoral fellows.
She is currently helping to develop
measures of auditory and visual attention,
learning, and memory for children
aged 2 to 5 years.
