Statement:
Ms. DeVeaugh-Geiss
is a Clinical Research Coordinator
for the STAR*D project (Sequenced
Treatment Alternatives to Relieve
Depression), an NIMH sponsored multi-center
trial. One of the goals of our STAR*D
team is to stimulate and facilitate
state-of-the-art research and methods
of treatment at UNC Hospitals including
collaboration with multiple university
departments. We have successfully
integrated STAR*D into the Adult Diagnostic
Treatment Center (Department of Psychiatry),
General Medicine Clinic and the Family
Practice Center.
