The UNC Department of Child & Adolescent
Psychiatry is a major academic center for
assessment, treatment, research and teaching.
We have a longstanding commitment to supporting
the emotional and physical wellbeing of
children and their families. Children and
families with mental health concerns can
find comprehensive evaluation and treatment
services from the experienced specialists
and programs of our department. We also
serve as a consultative resource for patients,
physicians, schools, courts and both local
and national mental health agencies.
